Back Blogging Continued - September 5th Post Addendum - Wo ai ni!

The night of September 4th Skylar slept with Mommy. Maybe it was because he had a little fever due to his immunizations and let his guard down because he didn't feel well. Maybe it was because of Daddy's prompting. No matter the reason, it touched my soul that Skylar would allow me to cuddle him, if just for a little while.

In the morning of September 5th my son Skylar hugged me and said; "Wo ai ni, Mama". This means "I love you" in Chinese!

This doesn't mean that he will sit on my lap, or allow me to bathe him, or come to me when he is hungry or thirsty. He is still completely and totally attached to Daddy. Daddy cannot be out of Skylar's sight. If Skylar can't see Daddy, or thinks that Daddy has left he has a MAJOR meltdown.

We still have a long way to go, but I am beginning to see a little tiny light at the end of the tunnel.
