We tried to get up very early today, but that didn't happen. Too much jet lag. Once we were up we tried to move quickly, but that didn't happen. Thankfully, Helen our guide and interpreter was very flexible. Helen is just fabulous! :) She is a blast!
We had a great time today. We have another traveler with DH, Faith, and I. Our group addition is a very nice gentleman from Michigan traveling alone to adopt his daughter. He is also a lot of fun and a great addition to our little Beijing travel group. We had a lot of fun, laughter and frivolity today.
We covered a lot of ground today. First we went to the jade factory, then the Great Wall (my words just cannot express the immensity of this monument), then the cloisonne factory, and then the silk factory. We were so blessed today to see so many phenomenal and beautiful things.
I am trying to attach a ton of pictures. Hopefully, they will all come through.
We're all exhausted, happy, and having a fabulous time. Going to the Beijing Zoo tomorrow, then leaving for Shenyang. We meet Skylar in Shenyang on the 30th.
