Travel Conference and Schedule

We had our travel conference with Josh this morning. It was a very productive and informative two hours. Josh was very thorough, and forthcoming with information. Josh also entertained us with his personal travel experiences from around the world.

We are staying at the Garden Hotel while in Guangzhou. However, we don't have information on our hotels in Beijing or Shenyang. Josh said that Helen is negotiating these rates for us and will send the info as soon as it is finalized.

Thursday, August 26th
Leave Houston for Newark, then on to Beijing, China!

Friday, August 27th - Helen picks us up at the Beijing airport. Takes us to our hotel and gets us settled in.  Depending on jet lag, may take us for touring or sightseeing at night.

Saturday, August 28th – Helen will take us for tours in and around Beijing.

Sunday, August 29th – Tour in and around Beijing with Helen and travel to Shenyang in the evening.

  1. OUTSTANDING!! Please give greetings to Rebecca for us - we did not meet Helen! Josh does some really good work! We had hoped to get the family pictures done on the Great Wall as well - but then had an opportunity to go to Korea on the way to China so made a homeland visit for our first adopted daughter on the way to our son instead! However our daughter Brittany made arrangements to get our family picture on the great wall 'drawn' by a local artist on Shamain Island in GZ - so it's all good!

So looking forward to following your journey - feel free to ask if you have any questions - but our info will be about 5 months old (daussie @ fuse. net)!

Great joy for you guys - hugs -

  3. I know how excited you are! It seems like it was not that long ago I was going through it too. Oh, wait, it wasn't...just got home Tuesday night. You are in for an amazing trip and I am looking forward to following along on your journey. Make sure you go to see Jordan on the island in Guangzhou. He will do Skylar's name and characters in calligraphy for free. We, also, had him do our other children's names too for a minimal fee. How come you are flying out of Beijing rather than Hong Kong? I thought that was the more typical route, although I do remember one family from our group flying back up to Beijing. Are you going in a travel group or is it just your family? We had about 28 or 29 families total in our group. Have a great time!!!!
