At the end of the Rainbow

We had very strong thunderstorms here last Friday. There were very strong winds, some hail, and  lots of thunder and lightning. I love thunderstorms and love to watch them from our sun room.

Our neighbor, A, from across the canal took this picture of the rainbow after the storm was over. Our house is right under the end of the rainbow!  What is not seen here is that there were double rainbows! Have you ever seen a double rainbow?

I think this picture is very apropos. I see it as a sign of all the prayers going up for Skylar during his recovery. :) We have been blessed with a skilled surgeon, Dr. Athre, surgery without complications, and so far, healing without complications. Skylar is still covered with bandages. We are so blessed that he is keeping his hands off of his face. Thank you to all of the mothers with children that have had surgeries that sent e-mails offering their experiences and ideas of how to keep his hands and mind occupied. Your ideas really helped! Skylar and I appreciate your positive input. Also, many thanks for all of the encouraging words and prayers.

Our house is to the left, right under the end of the rainbow. :)

Skylar has also been blessed with many great friends. His kindergarten teacher, Ms. B has been a source of continuing good thoughts and well wishes. Ms. R, Ms. M, Ms. H, Ms. C, Sr. BA, Ms. H, Ms. M have all sent well wishes and the pre-k 3 & 4, and kindergarten classes all sent cards of well wishes. Skylar's friend, F, even requested prayers for Skylar. I will post later about all of the cards sent.

We are blessed in many ways, and here it is visible at the end of a rainbow.

  1. Prayers continued to be offered - but if ever you needed a message - well - that's why you get pictures like that...God's smart like that!!

    hugs - aus and co.
