November 2009 - Another Update

By November of 2009 we were well into our journey to bring our son home from China. At this point we were still calling him Shen. We intended to name him Shen as we really liked the name. However, Angela at Lady Bugs and Love from Above pointed out that Shen was his last name. I don't know why we didn't realize that in China, like in Vietnam, the last name is listed first, and the first last. So his first name was really Jia, middle name Kang.

Anyway, through Angela and Lady Bugs and Love, we were able to send our first care package to our son. We were also able to ask questions about him!

This is a picture of the first care package we sent to our dear son. Included in this care package was a self addressed envelope.

After our care package was sent,  Angela with Lady Bugs and Love sent an e-mail with updated information about our son. It arrived on November 9th, my dearest departed Daddy's birthday. Another sign from above! Then on November 30th she sent updated photos!
